The ADM2481BRWZ-RL7 is an integrated, galvanically isolated half-duplex RS-485 transceiver from Analog Devices (ADI). Using iCoupler® technology, it combines a 3-channel isolator, a three-state differential line driver, and a differential input receiver in a single package. The device complies with ANSI EIA/TIA-485-A and ISO 8482:1987(E) standards, supports data rates up to 500kbps, and offers common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 25kV/µs. The logic side operates from a 3V or 5V supply, while the bus side requires a 5V supply only. With an input impedance of 96kΩ, it allows up to 256 transceivers on the bus. The device features true fail-safe receiver inputs, chatter-free power-up/power-down protection, and thermal shutdown, operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
