The DRV8251ADDAR is an integrated brushed DC motor driver from Texas Instruments (TI), featuring an N-channel H-bridge architecture with integrated charge pump, current sense feedback, current regulation, and protection circuitry. It supports a wide operating voltage range of 4.5V to 48V with peak output current up to 4.1A. The device‘s key advantage is its integrated current mirror architecture on the IPROPI pin, which enables current sensing and regulation without an external high-power shunt resistor, saving PCB area and reducing system cost. An external voltage reference pin (VREF) independently sets the current regulation threshold during startup and stall events without MCU interaction.
