The ADUM1201BRZ-RL7 is a dual-channel digital isolator from Analog Devices (ADI), based on the iCoupler® magnetic isolation technology that combines high-speed CMOS with monolithic transformer technology. It provides 1/1 channel directionality (one forward and one reverse channel), supports bidirectional communication, offers an isolation voltage of 2500Vrms, a maximum data rate of 10Mbps, and a high common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of >25kV/µs. The supply voltage on both sides ranges from 2.7V to 5.5V, enabling 3V/5V level translation. Compared to traditional optocouplers, iCoupler devices consume only one-tenth to one-sixth the power, require no external drivers or discrete components, and eliminate optocoupler issues such as uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature/lifetime effects.
