The ACS712ELCTR-05B-T is a cost-effective Hall-effect linear current sensor from Allegro MicroSystems, providing a compact solution for these needs. This device integrates a copper current-carrying path with low-voltage side signal conditioning circuitry based on open-loop Hall effect principles. Housed in a SOIC-8 package, it measures ±5A of DC or AC current and outputs an analog voltage proportional to the sensed current. Its sensitivity of 185mV/A enables precise detection for the 5A range, with a typical output response time of 5µs. The device offers 2.1kVRMS isolation voltage and features ±1.5% linearity.
